Our charity Karaoke evening for Peary House

Our charity karaoke evening was a huge success!

On Saturday 22nd of September we had our charity karaoke evening at the Border Terrier pub in aid of the charity Peary house for the visually impaired. We chose this charity in memory of our student Jill who sadly passed away last year.

Everyone was so excited about this evening not just to sing but to all socialise with one another! We are all about being a Team at ALVS and supporting each other. After all we are all learning! We also had a charity raffle where 25 local businesses donated prizes!

On the evening everyone got up and sang a song on the karaoke we even had some duets! Some students practised their songs in their singing lessons but some just got up and tried out a new song!!

It was a fantastic night and marks the second charity event ALVS has done, we already have ideas for next years event! We raised a massive £1,246 from just one evening! All the students are very proud that they used song to raise money for such a great local charity! Peary house are over the moon with the amount raised and have said the money will go towards the residents Christmas party!!

Looking forward to next years event!
